It’s a disgrace, no value for money. Dirty, horrible, expensive - no self catering. £25 to wash your clothes. It meant to be ‘best in class’ - did they forget to add ‘rip off’. ‘Best in class rip off’

Words going round HPC of the rates? Many thought it was a joke, so come to have a look 👀 to say I’m shocked that they want us to leave our family and come to that shit hole! Honestly those in suits need a reality check get out ya office and have a look round! Nobody’s gonna come with what your offering.

I used to stay in Packefield, found something better and cheaper in the area. However overall I don’t think my pay in SizewellC reflects the cost of accommodation, travel or being away from the family. Many of us don’t get 7days dig money. I’m considering leaving the project.

Workers want to feel like they're getting a fair deal for the money they're spending.
With the higher room rates, limited facilities and no meaningful long-stay discount until Day 29, the overall cost of staying at Pakefield quickly adds up. When you compare this with what is available at Hinkley Point, it's easy to see why workers may look at other projects instead.
Sizewell C needs to make the accommodation package more competitive and give workers better value for money. If the project wants to attract and keep the skilled workforce it needs, the cost of living on site needs to be reasonable and the facilities need to match what workers are paying for. I certainly wouldn't want to travel…

I’m guessing the pay or lodge payments will be going up then!?
